How to Mend a Relationship - Even If You Are Doing All the Work By Nygel McVee

How to mend a relationship that has taken a turn for worse can be a difficult task. The task even becomes greater if you are the only one doing the mending. Sometimes it feels like we aren't getting any help from our partner's when it comes to mending a broken relationship. Don't give up hope, things can get better, even if you are the one doing all the work. How to mend a relationship will take time and effort, but here are a few helpful tips that might speed up the process.
1. Try to remain positive.
Focus on yourself, and take a break from all the stress of a broken relationship. If your doctor gives you the okay, begin some sort of exercise program that will be quite beneficial in relieving some of the stress in your life. Exercise is a great stress buster, especially while you are trying to mend a relationship that has become strained.
2. Adjust accordingly.
Realizing that your relationship has taken a turn for the worse is indicative that there are several problems that have to be addressed. Step back for a moment and take the time to find out some of the things that are creating problems for you in a relationship, and then make a commitment with yourself to try to make the necessary adjustments. This is easier said than done, as you may have to change some daily routines of your life, but the benefits just might outweigh the costs.
3. How to mend a relationship that has been broken for years.
It seems quite a daunting task to mend a broken relationship, that has been broken for quite some time. There are some who have been struggling in their relationship for years, without ever addressing the problem. True, these type of relationships will be much more difficult to mend mainly because some of the wounds and pain that has been created over an extensive period of time will take longer to heal. Having patience in a relationship such as this, will be the main underlying factor whether or not the relationship succeeds or don't succeed.
4. Open channels of communication.
Is it possible to mend a relationship where both partners aren't talking to each other? That is a common question that many couples ask when they are trying to mend their relationship. In all relationships, it is extremely important to be able to communicate in order for things to run smoothly. Shutting down all avenues of communication will create a lot of unnecessary misunderstandings, even when both of you are agreeing with the problem at hand.
Conclusion.
How to mend a relationship that seems to have fallen off track requires work and patience. Sometimes you might be the one doing all the work, but if you focus on yourself and make the necessary adjustments, sometimes your partner will see the change in you and in turn, that will bring about the change in them.
Are you struggling in your relationship, and sometimes find that you are the only one who is interested in saving it? It can be frustrating, and it can wear you down. But don't give up hope. MOMENTS with YOU By Dennis and Barbara Rainey

June 16 Out in the Open The man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. Genesis 2:25 Being "naked" but "not ashamed." This is why we get married—not just to have sex, but also to become emotionally intimate with another person. We want someone we can be openly transparent with, someone who accepts us, even when we're being our real selves. Yet although this is what our souls long for, many couples—especially young couples—hide this need behind the mere act of sexual togetherness. They find having sex easier than opening up to each other spiritually, where the potential for hypocrisy and awkwardness always exists. Sex can be easier than opening up emotionally, letting someone else in on their fears and worries and dreams and deepest feelings. That's why, even when the level of sexual intimacy is high in a marriage, the level of real transparency can still be surprisingly low... and subtly debilitating....

A review of the book 'four loves' by c.s.lewis

"We need others physically, emotionally, intellectually; we need them if we are to know anything, even ourselves." We hear often that love is patient and kind, not envious or prideful. We hear that human love is a reflection of divine love. We hear that God is love. But how do we understand its work in our lives, its perils and rewards? Here, the incomparable C. S. Lewis examines human love in four forms: affection, the most basic, general, and emotive; friendship, the most rare, least jealous, and, in being freely chosen, perhaps the most profound; Eros, passionate love that can run counter to happiness and poses real danger; charity, the greatest, most spiritual, and least selfish. Proper love is a risk, but to bar oneself from it--to deny love--is a damning choice. Love is a need and a gift; love brings joy and laughter. We must seek to be awakened and so to find an Appreciative love through which "all things are possible." " The Four Loves  deserves t...

Romantic Words For Him By Alexandra Fox

Sometimes, I give lectures and seminars   to groups of women around the country.   Mostly small groups of less than 50   women, but I still have a lot of fun   meeting them and listening to their love   problems -- and giving them   life-changing solutions!   After giving these talks for several   years, I've learned something very   important -- the way I speak to my   audience has a big effect on how they   respond to me. And certain words have a   much bigger effect on them than others.   It's not just me, either -- I've also   realized, especially during our open   forums, that virtually every woman in   the world "talks" to herself. This   self-talk is often unconscious, and --   unfortunately -- it's also often sad and   depressive. Many of my clients look at   themselves small -- "I'm not pretty,"   "I'm not sexy enough," "I'm not as smart   as I w...
